A number of uninsured vehicles have been removed from the roads following a multi-agency operation in our area.

Earlier this week, four vehicles were seized and another three were issued with a seven-day removal notice in the operation.

The operation, which was carried out in the Hemlington area, saw Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team officers and local authority colleagues target uninsured and untaxed vehicles.

Environmental Neighbourhood Safety Team staff from Middlesbrough Council seized the four vehicles for being untaxed on a public road, with assistance from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team officers.

A further three were issued with removal notices which ask the owner to contact the local authority within seven days.
