A man from Redcar has appeared in court charged in connection with a number of arson attacks in Middlesbrough;

Police are reminding members of the public of steps they can take which could help deter potential thieves after it was revealed that reports of vehicle crime have increased in the Redcar and Cleveland area;

...and a Government Minister has seen where a huge new factory is set to be built as progress roars ahead at Teesworks.

Emergency services were called to a house in Brambles Farm yesterday morning after an 18-month-old girl was injured in a fall;

The volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team have been called into action in our area;

...and officers visited more than 30 farms and stopped a number of vehicles during another successful Operation Checkpoint to crack down on rural crime.

Emergency services were called after reports of a man "jumping out of a window" in South Bank;

Police have issued an appeal for information after a brick was thrown from a bridge over the A66;

...and demolition work on the former Marks and Spencer and Goodwins buildings in Redcar town centre will begin later this month.
