Harry presents 'Still Got The Blues' on Monday evenings 7-10PM.

Harry Simpson was a police officer for 30 years, then enjoyed a second career as a personal trainer for 10 years.

His formative years as a teenager found him a frequent member of the Redcar Jazz Club audience where he began his love affair with Rhythm and Blues Music. He grew up on the sounds of Free, Led Zepplin, John Mayalls Bluesbreakers, Fleetwood Mac and the Blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker and many more.

These are all the influences Harry includes in his show now playing many of these greats of the Blues world but also all the latest releases from current stars and up and coming stars from the UK and around the World.

His knowledge of the current scene is greatly enhanced by the fact he runs his own Blues Club, Saltburn Blues Club, which every month has the best of the scene performing at the Club. His loud waistcoats he wears for his MC duties always add to the visual treat at the Club as well. He likes to think so!!

Harry feels he has at last found his true vocation by presenting on Zetland FM and spreading the word of the blues and working in a superb environment on the 5th floor of The Beacon supported by a great team at the Zetland team.
