ARSONISTS are being blamed for starting a fire which badly damaged a house in Brotton.

 

Police say the incident was reported at 10pm on Monday, April 21, when a wheelie bin at the back door of house in Jackson Street was set alight.

A Cleveland police spokesman said: “Fire quickly took hold and spread, causing severe damage to the back of the property.

“The house was empty at the time and no-one was injured in any nearby houses.”
