A man will appear in court later today charged with burglary after an incident in our area.

Cleveland Police responded to a reported burglary in the Nunthorpe area of Middlesbrough on Friday.

A 51-year-old man has now been charged with burglary.

He is due to attend Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday 21st October.

Detectives are continuing to appeal to trace a man that they wish to speak to in connection with reports of a man seen with a weapon in Guisborough last Wednesday.

Armed police were seen across areas of the town following reports of a man carrying a weapon in the town at around ten past ten on Wednesday morning.

Cleveland Police say that they have not received any report of anyone having been injured, and officers have remained in the area conducting further investigations.

Investigating officers from Cleveland Police have now released two images of 33-year-old Steven Bremner who they believe may have information to help their ongoing enquiries.

Mr Bremner has links to both the Cleveland and the North Yorkshire Police force areas.

Anyone who has seen him or knows his current whereabouts are urged to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

Parents of children due to start secondary school next year are being reminded to submit their applications for school place.

The closing date for applications of 31 October 2024 is the national closing date for secondary applications.
