A man has appeared in court following multiple vehicle crime charges in Redcar;
Proactive Team officers in Middlesbrough have recovered cannabis worth up to £100,000 at a farm in the Newport area;

A man has appeared in court following multiple vehicle crime charges in Redcar.
Police received several reports from across the Redcar area over the weekend.
Following questioning the 49-year-old man was charged with three counts of vehicle interference, with going equipped to steal, and with three counts of theft from motor vehicle.
He was then remanded in police custody and appeared at court yesterday morning.
Proactive Team officers in Middlesbrough have recovered cannabis worth up to £100,000 at a farm in the Newport area.
On Saturday, officers attended Wicklow Street where they were dealing with another matter when they detected a strong smell of cannabis and identified an address.
Officers went in and found a room of young plants, before enquiries led them to next door where there was a larger cannabis farm with harvested cannabis which had been prepared for sale.
The electricity supply in both properties had to be made safe as it had been tampered with.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible and anyone with information is asked to contact 101.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have announced that damage caused by a burst water pipe in Carlin How last week has been repaired.
Posting on Facebook, the council says that work to repair the road surface began yesterday and is programmed to be completed today.
A signed diversion route remains in place and all traffic is advised to use it.
Use of Mount Pleasant and Grove Road is for local access only and is unsuitable for HGVs.
Skinningrove Bank is currently closed due to damage caused by the recent heavy rain and should not be used.
Separate works taking place on the A174 at Easington will again have a delayed start this morning to help with the movement of traffic.
