Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Redcar.

Some time between midday and 1pm on Saturday the 39-year-old woman was punched in the face by a man on the High Street near to the clock.

At the time a woman intervened to help the victim to her feet and ensure she was okay.

As part of officer's enquiries, they are appealing for this woman to come forward.

Information can be provided by calling Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Police are appealling for information following a collision in Brotton.

At around ten past six on Wednesday evening a pedestrian was stood at the side of his car, parked half on the kerb of the High Street, when a white Volkswagen Polo travelling from east to west collided with him.

The 36-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital by paramedics with injuries to his head and foot.

A woman driving the car isn't believed to have sustained any injuries.

Officers investigating the collision are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with footage to contact them on 101.

 

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are asking residents for their views on plans to transform Eston Precinct.

Residents of Greater Eston are being invited to a public consultation event where they will be able to meet with representatives of the Council, ask any questions, and provide feedback on the plans.

Comments and suggestions are most welcome, particularly if there are local issues or ideas that you would like to be considered before the council finalises the proposal and submit the planning application.

The consultation event is being held at Christ Church, on the High Street in Eston, next Thursday 19 September between 3pm and 8pm.
