A police investigation is underway after a woman was reportedly raped in a Middlesbrough park.
At around 4am yesterday, a woman reported that she had been raped in Albert Park in the town.
A male made off from the scene and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
The woman is being supported by specially trained officers.
The suspect is described as a black male, around 30 years of age, of slim build, around 4ft 11" to 5ft 2" tall, wearing a long, black parka jacket which is described as "scruffy" and he had his hood up.
He was riding a pedal bike.
The man is believed to have been in the Gresham area prior to the incident; in the areas of Parliament Road, Linthorpe Road, Granville Road, Woodlands Road and Park Lane.
Officers would appeal to anyone in these areas to check private CCTV footage for a male matching the description.
Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID on the non-emergency number 101.

The incident happened on Marton Road close to Aldi around 5:50pm on Monday.
A 30-year-old man on a motorbike suffered broken ribs and internal injuries when he was in collision with another motorbike, which is described as black and was carrying two people wearing balaclavas.
The motorbike did not stop at the scene.
The man remains at James Cook University Hospital whilst receiving treatment.
Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are holding an event as part of a drive to recruit more foster carers in our area.
Foster carers from across Redcar and Cleveland will join forces with the council’s fostering team next Friday, September 20, at a ‘meet the carers’ event taking place between 10.00 am and 12 noon at Kirkleatham Walled Gardens in Redcar.
The event, which part of a drive to recruit more local foster carers in the area, will provide anyone thinking about becoming a foster carer with the opportunity to find out more about fostering from existing foster carers and the fostering team over a slice of cake and a coffee.
There’s no need to book a place, anyone who is interested is free to pop in any time between 10am and midday on the day.
