Police are appealing for information after two assaults in Redcar at the weekend;
A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury following an assault in Middlesbrough;
...and Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after two boys reportedly threw a rock through the windscreen of a car on the A66.
Police are appealing for information after two assaults in Redcar at the weekend.
The alleged incidents occurred outside The Deck nightclub on Bath Street in Redcar in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Around 4am, an assault was reported whereby a 38-year-old man was punched and knocked unconscious.
The man suffered a serious head injury requiring hospital treatment and he remains in hospital in a "stable" condition.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers.
Just prior to this incident, another assault occurred in the same location whereby a male victim was punched and kicked to the floor.
Officers have not been able to trace this man and are appealing for him, or anyone who may know of his identity, to get in touch with them as soon as possible on the non-emergency number 101.

The 43-year-old man suffered a head injury in the assault in Brambles Farm on Saturday.
Police received a report of an ongoing altercation involving a large group of people just after 6pm on Millbrook Avenue.
The man was taken to hospital with a head injury and he is described as being in a "stable" condition.
A man aged 23 was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding and a 58 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Another woman aged 57 was also arrested on suspicion of affray.
All three were taken into police custody.

The incident happened on the road known as the 'mad mile' around ten to three on Thursday afternoon.
The mother and daughter travelling in the vehicle were thankfully unhurt in the incident however their car was damaged.
The boys are described as aged 10-12 and both with fair hair. The first was large build, wearing a light blue T-shirt with dark shorts. The other is described as slim build wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark shorts.
Both boys made off, crossing the A174 towards Wilton Golf Club.
