Police in Guisborough have seized a cannabis farm believed to be worth more than £100,000.

Officers from Guisborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team attended Farndale Drive in Guisborough at around 10.10am on Wednesday following intelligence from the community and located a cannabis farm with 128 plants.

Electrics in the property had been bypassed and were made safe by engineers from the electricity board.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved, and officers would encourage anyone with information to call them on the non-emergency number 101.

Police in Redcar have revealed that information from the community has lead to officers retrieving two stolen motorbikes.

The riders of the motorbikes were reported to neighbourhood policing officers for driving dangerously and anti-socially in the Redcar area.

On Wednesday officers took action by locating and seizing the motorbikes at a property on Malham Gill in the town.

The motorbikes had been stolen and their owners have now been informed.

Enquires are continuing in relation to the investigation.

Then shortly before 8.30 on Wednesday evening, Redcar's Atlantic lifeboat was launched to an incident at Huntcliff at Saltburn.

The lifeboat was on standby at the schene whilst officers from Cleveland Police resolved the incident.

The volunteer crew were then able to return safely to the lifeboat station at Redcar.

No further details of the incident have been released.
