Multiple cordons were erected on an estate in our area yesterday evening.

Cleveland Police officers taped off Ambleside Road, in Normanby, at around 7pm.

A Mercedes car was also located inside a cordon on Manor Green, which joins Ambleside Road, during the incident.

It is believed the two cordons are linked. However, this is yet to be confirmed by the authorities.

Multiple police vehicles were at the scene, with officers conducting enquires at the scene.

No further details regarding the incident have yet been made available.

A nuisance quad bike has been seized by police in Middlesbrough Town Centre.

The red quad bike was seized by Middlesbrough Proactive Team officers on Monday night after being abandoned in a town centre car park.

At around 9pm police witnessed two quads being ridden around the space in an antisocial manner.

Plain clothed officers managed to get close to the bikes, forcing one rider to abandon this bike whereupon he made off on foot.

Two other riders dressed in camouflage tops and wearing balaclavas made off on a dark green quad bike and enquiries to trace all three riders and the green bike are on-going.

Sea cadets in Redcar have been left "devastated" after uniforms, training equipment and memorabilia were destroyed in a fire.

Staff at Sea Cadets Redcar said the blaze took place on the afternoon of Sunday, May 19th, and ripped through a container storing precious goods.

A spokesperson for the organisation said their belongings were damaged "beyond repair" and said that some of the precious memorabilia in storage cannot be replaced, other items can but it will take time and money.

The organisation has now issued a plea for donations.
