Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have begun works to to reinstate and improve paths in a park in Normanby.

The works, in South Park, which is locally known as Tittybottle Park, began yesterday.

The works are required following damage caused by the removal of dangerous trees which took place earlier in the year.

The park has remained open for use, but some access points have had to be closed in order to ensure the safety of visitors to the park.

The council says that it understands that this has been frustrating for local residents and visitors, and would like to thank them for their patience whilst the required repair work has been organised.
