Detectives from Redcar CID have successfully charged two people in relation to two separate incidents over the weekend.

The assault happened just after 11.25pm outside Harry's Bar on Westgate however it's believed the altercation started inside the bar and spilled out onto the street.

A 39-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance where he received treatment for suspected cracked ribs and a broken nose.

He also had some teeth knocked out in the incident.

Cleveland Police say that extensive investigations, including CCTV and other enquiries have been ongoing since the incident and are asking anyone who has not yet spoken to police to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

The Audi RS6 was seized by Redcar neighbourhood officers on Sunday evening after it was seen doing doughnuts on the beach while another male recorded the antics on his mobile phone.

The driver was also reported for summons after the vehicle was also found to be uninsured.

Police say that they will not tolerate the antisocial or illegal use of vehicles and will continue to tackle the issue.
