Police are appealing for information or footage after a supermarket delivery driver was robbed;

Two men have been charged after a report of offences in the Middlesbrough area;

...and a man has been remanded in custody after a report of a commercial burglary at a pharmacy in our area on Sunday evening.

 

Police are appealing for information or footage after a supermarket delivery driver was robbed.

The 31-year-old was carrying crates to the door of a property on Oxford Road in Middlesbrough when two unknown men on bikes approached the van from the Whinney Banks traffic lights and tried to take crates of alcohol from him.

When the driver tried to stop the men who are believed to be between 25 and 31 years old, he was punched in the face by one suspect then the other ran up to the victim pulling him to the ground where he punched and kicked him to the face.

The suspects then left the scene with two crates of cans of lager, riding down Oxford Road and onto Williams Avenue.

The delivery driver attended hospital for treatment to leg and facial injuries, and he was later released.

Anyone with information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Two men have been charged after a report of offences in the Middlesbrough area.

A 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were both charged with attempted burglary following a report of an attempted burglary at a service station on Heath Road, in the early hours of Sunday.

Both were also charged with robbery, after a report of a robbery at a shop in North Ormesby on Saturday.

The 27-year-old man was additionally charged with a theft of clothing at Next, reported to be worth hundreds of pounds, on Saturday.

The 30-year-old man was additionally charged with theft from a shop at Farm Foods in Middlesbrough on 30th March.

Both men appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday.

 

A man has been remanded in custody after a report of a commercial burglary at a pharmacy in our area on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred at a pharmacy in Linthorpe and a large amount of cash was reported stolen as well as medication.

A 53-year-old man from Middlesbrough appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday charged with burglary.

He was remanded in custody to appear at court again at a future hearing.
