Police are appealing for anyone with information or CCTV footage following a stabbing in Redcar.

The incident occurred on Redcar High Street near Wilkinsons at around 5.20 yesterday morning.

A man suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to the James Cook University Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information or any relevant CCTV footage is urged to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Officers are also appealing for information and any witnesses after a man sustained stab wounds following an incident in Grangetown.

Officers were called to the incident on Birchington Avenue in Grangetown at around half past midnight yesterday.

A man was located with multiple stab wounds and he was taken to the James Cook University Hospital where he is currently in a critical but stable condition.

Cleveland Police say that their enquiries into the incident are ongoing

Anyone with information or any relevant CCTV footage is urged to contact the police on 101.

 

The volunteer crew of the Redcar lifeboat were called into action in our area yesterday.

Just before 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched to assist emergency services with an incident at the Newport Bridge in Middlesbrough.

The lifeboat was at the scene of the incident for around five and a half hours and required a change of crew whilst on the river.

The incident was resolved just after 9.30pm and the crew and lifeboat were then able to return to the lifeboat station at Redcar.
