A shopping parade had to be evacuated by emergency crews yesterday after a fire broke out in a fish and chip shop.
Just before 11am yesterday emergency services were called to Acklam Shops in Middlesbrough after reports of a fire at the Acklam Fish Bar.
A large cordon was erected, with fire crews wearing gas masks entering the premises with a hose to extinguish the blaze.
Cleveland Fire Brigade has yet to reveal any details on the potential cause of the fire.

The man police are in contact with has thankfully not been seriously injured. Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Police on 101.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH, and later bailed pending further enquiries.
Since the incident came to light, Cleveland Police and partner agencies have requested a fast-track review into the premises, with a licensing hearing taking place today.
The volunteers of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat have been called into action in our area.
Just before 7am yesterday mornig the Redcar Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched after reports of a person in the water off Saltburn Pier.
The lifeboat arrived on the scene but found that the swimmer had managed to return to the shore safely, and determined that the call was made to the coastguard with good intent.
Members of the public are reminded that if you think you see someone in trouble in the water you should call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
