A second anti-social behaviour order has been placed on an area of Middlesbrough in the space of a week.

The 48-hour order will be in place around Vaughan Shops in Netherfields until Thursday evening.

It follows reports of anti-social behaviour across the Middlesbrough estate - with high-visibility patrols set to continue.

Last Wednesday, police enforced the order for two days from Wednesday evening in the same place, covering Cargo Fleet Lane, Stapleford Road, Fulbeck Road, and Crowland Avenue.

It means that officers can ask anyone in large groups to leave the area for 48 hours - and if they return, they could be arrested for breaching the order.

Anyone who may wish to report anti-social behaviour incidents in the area are asked to call the non-emergency number 101.

Police have issued an update on a linked break-in and 'stabbing' in central Middlesbrough.

The incident - which took place on Jedburgh Street on Friday - saw police uncover a cannabis farm on the ground floor of a property after officers were called to a break-in.

Police say the property had been set up with plants on various floors and a drying room.

Shortly after a man was then found with stab wounds on the nearby Woodlands Road, and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Cleveland Police has now issued some further information on the incident - saying that a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis - but has since been released without charge.

The force has confirmed that there have been no arrests made in regard to the stabbing.

It's been announced that this year's British National Road Championships will return to our area later this year.

This year's event follows a successful first national championships last year, which culminated in Pfeiffer Georgi and Fred Wright being crowned national champions on the iconic Saltburn Bank.

The championships will begin on Wednesday 19 June with the time-trial events in North Yorkshire, with further details on the route to be published in due course.

The circuit races will then follow on Friday 21 June in Darlington town centre.

The championships will then conclude with the road races, which will once again start and finish in Saltburn on Sunday 23 June.
