Officers are appealing for information following burglary in North Ormesby;

...and a man charged in connection with burglary in Middlesbrough.

 

Police have arrested a man following a stabbing in Hemlington.

An 18-year-old man from Middlesbrough was taken into police custody yesterday having been detained in connection with the stabbing.

He was arrested at a property on Palmer Street on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The incident occurred at approximately 5pm on Tuesday in Elmhurst Gardens, and a 19-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition after sustaining injuries to his face, neck and body.

The alleged attacker, described as having ginger hair, ran away from the area in the direction of Earls Court Road.

Police are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault, has CCTV or information that could assist with the investigation to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Officers are appealing for information following burglary in North Ormesby.

The burglary occurred at a property on Cramlington Close at approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday.

While the occupants were inside, an unknown offender has opened the front door, searched the property and stolen the keys to a red Nissan Qashqai which has a distinctive silver petrol cap on the rear panel and a white ski mask sticker near the back of the side window.

The offender then drove away in the vehicle.

Officers have been conducting numerous enquiries and have now released photographs of the vehicle and are appealing for information, CCTV and dash cam footage to assist in locating it and finding the person responsible.

A man charged in connection with burglary in Middlesbrough.

The 25-year-old, of Meath Street, was arrested within an hour after the burglary was reported on Wednesday lunchtime.

He has since been charged with burglary and appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday.

The charge relates to a burglary at a flat in the Easterside Ward when a large quantity of jewellery and gaming equipment was stolen.

The items have since been located and returned to the victim.
