Two people have been arrested as Cleveland Police’s Matrix Team continue to disrupt criminality in our area;
Police are searching for a man and a woman after a man was punched in a late night robbery in Middlesbrough;
...and a woman has been arrested after police conducted a drugs warrant in Hemlington.
Two people have been arrested as Cleveland Police’s Matrix Team continue to disrupt criminality in our area.
Whilst on patrol on Sunday, the Matrix Team were deployed to Coniston Road in Skelton, following reports that a motorbike had been stolen from an address on nearby Windermere Drive.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and was bailed pending further enquiries.
The motorbike was recovered and it has since been returned to its owner.
Later that day, the team were deployed to Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, following sightings of a suspected stolen vehicle.
Officers attended the scene but the vehicle reportedly failed to stop for police and a short pursuit took place.
The vehicle entered the Crossfell Road area before one male exited the vehicle and reportedly made off on foot.
With the assistance of the drone and the Dog Unit, a 17-year-old male was detained and arrested.
The vehicle was also recovered.
Police are searching for a man and a woman after a man was punched in a late night robbery in Middlesbrough.
The incident happened between 11pm and 11.15pm last Thursday on Linthorpe Road, near to The Swatters Carr pub, when a man and a woman approached the male victim asking for money.
The man then punched the victim whilst the woman attempted to steal his mobile phone.
The male suspect is described as white, of medium build, aged between 36 and 40, and around 5ft 10ins tall with short black hair. He was wearing a sweatshirt, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
The female is described as white, aged around 40, around 5 ft 4” tall with reddish blonde hair.
Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID on the non-emergency number 101.
A woman has been arrested after police conducted a drugs warrant in Hemlington.
The warrant was carried out at an address on Edgeworth Court on Friday as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week last week.
Officers seized suspected Class A drugs and a 51-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug.
She was bailed pending further enquiries.
