A man has been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences after Proactive Team officers spotted suspected drug dealing;

...and two men have been arrested after a report of a burglary in Middlesbrough.

 

Two people have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle on the A174 Parkway yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident just before 5pm yesterday, which had blocked the A174 westbound in the Blue Bell Hotel area on the outskirts of Middlesbrough.

Police put diversion in place up the slip road to Coulby Newham, however long queues built up in the area as traffic built up at rush hour.

The A174 was re-opened shortly after 7pm, and police have thanked motorists for their patience and co-operation whilst emergency services dealt with the situation.

 

A man has been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences after Proactive Team officers spotted suspected drug dealing.

On Wednesday, officers from the Proactive Team attended Stowe Street in the Newport area of Middlesbrough where they arrested a 34-year-old man in an alley way, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Suspected class A drugs, a large amount of cash and three mobile phones were recovered.

A subsequent address search also discovered a suspected taser and drugs paraphernalia.

The man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of criminal property.

He has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.

 

Two men have been arrested after a report of a burglary in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened around ten past ten in the evening on Wednesday on Baker Street, when two men were reportedly seen smashing a window at a business premises.

Officers attended and located two men closeby.

Two men aged 43 and 44 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and were taken into police custody.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.
