Two men have appeared in court charged with burglary of a shop on Redcar High Street.
The two men aged 45 and 44 have been charged with nine offences of burglary, following several break ins to Store 21 on Redcar High Street over the weekend of Friday 15th to Sunday 17th December.
Thousands of pounds worth of equipment including tools, fixtures and flooring was stolen from the premises whilst it was undergoing renovations.
Both men appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court this week.
Two men have been issued with Community Protection Warnings following reports of hare coursing on farmland in the Newton under Roseberry area.
Just before 2pm on Thursday officers received a call areporting that three males were hare coursing and were walking towards Nunthorpe.
Then, several minutes after the first report, officers received a further call reporting that three males were poaching on farmland in the Nunthorpe area.
Uniformed officers were immediately dispatched to investigate the two incidents and after a lengthy foot pursuit through boggy farmland two men were detained.
The two detained men were searched and issued with Community Protection Warnings in relation to wildlife offences.
Police have seized drugs from a property in Redcar.
Officers from the Proactive Team, assisted by a police dog, acted on intelligence from the local community and executed a drugs warrant in Redcar on Thursday night.
They forced entry to a house on Muriel Street just after 7.45pm and recovered suspected Class A and Class B drugs.
Whilst no arrests were made at the time, enquiries are ongoing and neighbourhood police teams say that they will continue to work with landlords, the local community and Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council to resolve any on-going issues at the address.
