Police have arrested a man just moments after report of attempted vehicle break in in Guisborough at the weekend.
The 32-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, just minutes after police received a report of an attempted break in to a Land Rover Discovery in the Galley Hill area of the town.
Officers from Guisborough and Greater Eston Neighbourhood Police Teams were conducting patrols nearby and they were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The man was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference, and he was interviewed then bailed whilst further enquiries take place.
A gas leak at a school in our area means there may be no hot food available in the canteen today.
In a message sent to parents at the weekend, the principal of Nunthorpe Academy, on Guisborough Road in Nunthorpe, said that there was a gas leak at the school on Saturday.
The leak has been fixed and the heating is working at the site once again.
However, challenges mean engineers have been unable to reconnect the gas supply to the school kitchen.
As a result, the school has said there will be minimal or potentially no hot food available to students at lunchtime today.
The mobile Covid vaccination clinics are back in Redcar and Cleveland.
The pop-up clinic will be at the Longacre Pub on Pheasant Fields Lane today from 10am until 5pm.
All eligible groups over 18 years old are welcome.
Eligible groups include people aged 65 or over, carers and those who are immunosuppressed.
No appointment is necessary, you can just drop in to receive the vaccine.
