A dispersal order has been put in place in the Whale Hill area of Eston following reports of increased antisocial behaviour.

It will run for 48 hours starting from 6pm last night after residents reported that congregating youths were causing anti-social behaviour and committing offences.

The dispersal order gives police the power to order groups to leave the area immediately for a period of up to 48 hours.

If they return to the area they can be arrested for breaching the order.

A large wooden structure has been washed up onto Marske beach following the recent Storm Babet.

Dog walkers in the seaside town were left stunned on Saturday when unique the structure appeared on the sand, just a short walk down from the Coast Road Car Park.

Made up of planks and held together by chunky solid wooden pegs, the mysterious object churned up by the sea piqued the interest of numerous passers-by.

Speculation was rife amongst locals and on social media about what the structure could be.

Many believe that it could be part of the Whitby whaling boat The Esk, which was grounded just off the coast of Marske almost 200 years ago on September 6, 1826.

However, it's identity has yet to be confirmed by any authorities.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are asking residents for their opinions on the transformation of Redcar High Street.

The project is a key part of the Redcar Town Deal, which includes improvements to the high street and the development of the culture and leisure attraction.

A drop-in consultation is being held tomorrow, where you can let the team know what you think and hear more about what's going on.

The drop in takes place at Rediscover Redcar at 12 West Terrace in Redcar from 10am until 6pm and all the feedback will help the Redcar Town Deal Board in making decision based on the needs of residents, visitors, and businesses.
