A man has appeared in court charged with arson following a Hemlington house fire;

A man has appeared in court charged with arson following a Hemlington house fire.
The 33-year-old man from Hemlington, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
This comes after a fire ripped through three floors of an end-terrace home on Dalcross Court on Monday morning.
Police and fire crews were called to the home at around 7.15am - with images from the scene showing the aftermath of the blaze.
Brickwork at the rear of the property was scorched by flames, while windows and door frames were melted away.
Cleveland Police confirmed that a separate fire, which took place a few doors down on Wednesday last week, was being linked to the blaze on Monday.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life in connection with the fire last week and is currently on bail whilst enquiries continue.
It's been revealed that the North-east had the highest number of Covid cases in the UK in the most recent seven-day period.
In the seven days leading up to September 23rd, Redcar and Cleveland had 30 cases, whilst Middlesbrough had 29 and Hartlepool had 14.
However the highest number of cases locally were in Stockton, with 46 cases during the period.
Parents and guardians of current Year 6 pupils are now able to submit their secondary school preferences.
Parents of children born between the first of September 2012 to the thirty first of August 2013 are now able to submit their applications for school preferences for the schools they wish their children to be considered for, for September 2024.
Applications can be made either via the school admissions online application system on the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council website, or by completing a paper application form which is available from the School Admissions Section on 01642 837730.
