Police are appealing for the public's help as they investigate a report of a 2 in 1 burglary in Marske.

At around 6am yesterday someone, possibly more than one person, entered a house adjacent to Delamere Drive while the householder was asleep upstairs.

A number of items were taken and although they were not worth large amounts of money they have enormous sentimental value to their owner.

A silver grey Ford Kuga was also taken from where it was parked on Delamere Drive.

Police would appeal for anyone who can help on-going enquiries, residents who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or anyone who may have captured footage of the Kuga being driven from the scene to get in touch.

Please contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after an early morning fire at a house in Skelton.

As we reported on Zetland FM yesterday, emergency services were called to the property on Kirkstall Court on Sunday after a fire in a shed spread to the house.

Cleveland Police have now confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

He has been bailed after being questioned by officers from Redcar CID.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have announced that a beack slipway is to close for maintenance work this week.

From tomorrow until Wednesday 27th September, the RNLI Slipway, opposite the RNLI station on Moore Street in Redcar, will be closed due to repair works being carried out.

No boats will be able to access the slipway during this time.

Alternative arrangements have been put in place for the RNLI emergency callouts and there will be no disruption to their operation.

The council has apologised for any inconvenience this might cause.
