Police have put a cordon in place in Hemlington after a body was found yesterday.
Officers attended a property on Myton Walk at around 4:50pm yesterday where the body of a woman was found.
Whilst no formal identification has yet taken place, officers have made contact with members of the woman's family and say that their thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem examination will take place in due course.
A cordon remains in place at the property whilst enquiries continue.
Police in Redcar are asking for the public's help to reunite a bike with its owner.
The silver and white Teyse bike was found on High Street West.
If you believe that it is yours, or you know who the bike belongs to, please contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
It's been announced that a well known sculpture in our area is to be removed.
With works underway on Redcar High Street as part of the Redcar Town Deal, the Seven Red Plaice sculpture, which is currently located opposite of Boots, is due to be removed for safety and better access to the works site.
The sculpture will be removed this week and put in safe keeping whilst the council works on finding it a new location.
