Police are appealing for information after items were stolen and damage caused at a grave at a cemetery in our area. in Eston Cemetery;

...and Cleveland Police have revealed that they carried out 174 more stop and searches last month compared to June as officers continue to conduct high-visibility patrols across our area.

 

Police are appealing for information after a man in his 20s was robbed of his phone and trainers.

It happened on Sunday evening, at approximately 6pm at the junction of Overdale Road and Crossfell Road in Park End as the victim was walking to the local shops.

He was approached by a group of young men, one of whom asked him to hand over his phone.

The suspect then took the phone along with the victim's On running Cloudswift trainers which are grey and black with white soles.

The men then walked away into the housing estate.

The suspects are described as being in their 20s, in black clothing and wearing snoods and balaclavas.

One was on a dark grey electric bike.

Anyone with information or doorbell/dashcam or cctv footage is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID on the non-emergency number 101.

It's believed the damage occurred at the grave at Eston Cemetery some time during last week, commencing, however the exact date and time cannot currently be confirmed.

Ornaments and balloons were taken from the grave and damaged.

Anyone with information, dashcam or cctv is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.

 

Cleveland Police have revealed that they carried out 174 more stop and searches last month compared to June as officers continue to conduct high-visibility patrols across our area.

A total of 859 stop and searches were conducted in July, marking a 25% increase from the 685 stop and searches in June.

Of those 859 searches, almost a quarter resulted officers locating prohibited items such as illicit drugs and dangerous weapons.
