Firefighters had to free two people from a BMW after it collided with a lorry in Grangetown.
Emergency services were called yesterday to a two-vehicle crash on Bolckow Road.
According to traffic site Inrix, the A66 was blocked partially in both directions.
Cleveland Police confirming the driver and passengers of the BMW were taken to hospital.
The crash was reported to police at around 12.37pm and two people were freed from the BMW by firefighters.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat have been called into action twice in our area.
Just after ten past seven on Tuesday evening the crew responded to reports of a person in difficulty just off the slipway opposite the lifeboat station.
The D class lifeboat was ready to launch but was not needed.
Members of Redcar Lifeboat crew entered the water and helped the casualty back to shore.
Then just after ten to ten yesterday morning, the Redcar Atlantic lifeboat was launched to assist a small fishing boat six and a half miles east of South Gare.
Lifeboat crews attended the scene and the boat was towed back to Paddy's Hole at South Gare.
The lifeboat was then able to return to the lifeboat station.
Emergency services were called to a fire in Skelton yesterday evening.
Two fire applicances attended a large hay fire, with pictures from the scene showing a large quantity of hay fully alight.
Fire crews tackled the blaze, then remained on standby at the scene to dampen down and to ensure that there was no further spread.
