A woman has been reported for driving 'without due care and attention' following a crash in Redcar.

Emergency services were called to Coatham Road in Redcar on Saturday at around 11.40am following reports of a two car collision.

The crash resulted in one of the vehicles smashing into a gift shop window, forcing the business to close for the remainder of the day.

The incident saw a Mazda and a BMW collide on the junction between Coatham Road and Station Road.

The road was cordoned off for just over two hours while fire fighters made the scene safe and officers carried out investigations.

Cleveland Police has now confirmed that a 29-year-old woman was reported for driving without due care and attention following the incident.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Redcar.

The incident occurred outside The Pitcher House on Station Road in Redcar on Saturday 15th April at around 10.50pm.

A man sustained injuries to his head and back during the incident while a woman was injured after she was pushed to the floor.

Police would like to speak to the man in the images as he may be able to assist officers with ongoing enquiries.
