An explosion demolition is set to take place today to bring down one of the final structures of the iconic Redcar coke ovens.
Demolition crews will be on-site at Teesworks today to take down the 39m tall Screen House, which is among some of the final structures that are being demolished following the huge demolition of Redcar coke ovens in June last year.
Ten explosive charges are set to go off at the same time during the controlled explosion.
A spokesperson for Teesworks says that there are no planned road closures and disruption to the surrounding area will be kept to a minimum.
