Arctic weather conditions have meant difficult driving conditions this morning across our area.
Snow began falling across Redcar and Cleveland yesterday evening, with heavy snowfalls reported on the moors road between Guisborough and Whitby.
The A171 at Charltons and Birkbrow was described as 'impassable' by police last night, with other routes, particularly in East Cleveland, also badly affected by snow and blizzards.

It's been announced that the Women's Tour, UK’s leading international women’s cycling event is coming to Guisborough later this year.
It will be a free-to-watch spectacle of speed and adrenaline as the world’s top female cyclists race from Dalby Forest to Guisborough on stage three of the competition.

The annual Redcar and Cleveland Inspiring Women Awards are taking place later today.
The awards, which recognise women from all walks of life who make a difference in our area is taking place at the Bellamy Pavillion at Kirkleatham Museum & Grounds this afternoon.
The awards have been running annually since 2015.
The project was first set up by Anna Turley in memory of Mo Mowlam MP and Jo Cox MP.
