A number of properties in a village in our area had to be evacuated after a gas leak following a collision.
Emergency services were called to the Cleveland Street area of Liverton Mines due to the gas leak, which occurred following a two-vehicle collision at 3.10pm yesterday afternoon.
A number of properties were evacuated and a cordon was put in place as a precaution whilst gas engineers repaired the leak.
There were no reports of any injuries, and the road reopened just after 5pm yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was robbed in Redcar.
The incident took place at around 10am on Monday when the 67-year-old man was walking near the playpark and open ground near to Micklow Close.
Police say the man was approached by three teenage boys - one of which was riding a motorbike which was described as an off-road style bike.
The bike was used to push the man to the floor before the suspects demanded that he hand over his money.
The youths then stole a quantity of cash from the man before making off from the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the incident should call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
Police are appealing for information and for a van driver to come forward following a suspicious incident in Middlesbrough.
The incident occurred at around 6pm on Sunday at the junction of Cranmore Road and Cottingham Drive, and involved a man driving a small white van and a 12 year old boy.
The man driving the van has been described by the boy as being a black male with a small afro and was wearing a black tracksuit.
Officers are investigating the incident and are appealing for the driver of the van to come forward to assist them with their investigation.
