Armed police were called to a street in Berwick Hills after a man was allegedly 'shot several times with an air rifle' yesterday.

Cleveland Police has confirmed that the man sustained injuries to his arm, hand and back but these are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 38 and 42, and a 41-year-old woman were arrested after police units were called on a property in Langridge Crescent at around 10.45am.

Officers are believed to have been at the scene for a number of hours.

The family of a man who died following a collision earlier this week have today paid tribute and released a photo of him.

30-year-old Liam Taylor was killed whilst cycling near the Fire Station on Park Vale Road in Middlesbrough at around 5pm on Monday following a collision which involved a green Audi.

At the time of the collision a man aged 35 was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

In a statement yesterday Liam's family said that he was a much-loved son, brother and uncle who sadly lost his life too soon, and that he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Anyone with information or CCTV or dash cam footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
