A local football club have described their disappointment after they were forced to abandon their match after what is being described as deliberate and malicious vandalism to their floodlights.
Marske United had to postpone their Northern League Premier Division match against South Shields on Tuesday night due to an issue with their floodlights.
A man has been arrested following an allegation of sexual assault which caused police to cordon off a Middlesbrough footpath.
Officers from Cleveland Police set up a cordon around a footpath close to Holyrood Lane in the Longlands area of Middlesbrough on Tuesday morning, close to Priory Social Club and Aldi on Marton Road.
Police guarded the cordon whilst their inquiries continued into the incident, which has now been confirmed as an alleged sexual assault.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident, with police investigations currently ongoing.
A number of road closures have been announced on a busy stretch of roadworks in our area.
Work on the improvements at Swan's Corner in Nunthorpe is progressing well and Esh Construction say intend to undertake resurfacing work over two consecutive weekends under a full road closure.
The closures dates for the work are 8/9 & 15/16 October 2022.
Road closures will be in place from 8am on each Saturday until 8pm on each Sunday on these dates to allow the resurfacing work to take place safely.
Signage will be in place to advise motorists of the closure and the diversion routes in place.
