Police have confirmed that a man sadly lost his life after suffering a medical emergency whilst driving in Redcar at the weekend;

Police have confirmed that a man sadly lost his life after suffering a medical emergency whilst driving in Redcar at the weekend.
Officers were called to Kirkleatham Lane at around 11.50am on Saturday to a report of a suspected medical incident, following calls that a single car had left the carriageway.
No other vehicles were involved.
The 59-year-old male driver from New Marske received treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
Police have made two arrests and recovered suspected drugs in the Newport area of Middlesbrough.
Acting on information from the local community, officers from the Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Team accompanied by Cleveland Police Dog Unit carried out a warrant at Carlow Street.
A 40-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, possession of class C drugs and abstracting electricity.
Both were taken into police custody.
Suspected cannabis and prescription medication was recovered.
A police assisted with searches at the property and the electricity board was called to assist with the bypassed electricity.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have announced that a local library is to be closed for refurbishment work to take place.
From Monday the Ormesby Library will be closed in order to complete its refurbishment works.
The interior will be redesigned with new furniture, shelving, toilets, decorations and a new heating system is to be installed.
Whilst the building is closed, users can borrow more books and for a longer period.
