Police are releasing images and CCTV footage of a vehicle as they re-appeal to trace a Volvo suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run collision in Boosbeck;

...and a man has been taken to hospital following an emergency incident in Middlesbrough.

 

Police are releasing images and CCTV footage of a vehicle as they re-appeal to trace a Volvo suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run collision in Boosbeck.

The silver Volvo XC90, with registration plate SV04 TFE, is still believed to be in the East Cleveland area, possibly somewhere between Skelton and Guisborough.

Officers are appealing to trace the vehicle as part of their ongoing investigation, and would appeal to anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle to get in touch with them.

50-year-old local woman Justine Wedgwood sadly died following the incident on Boosbeck Road around 10:45pm on Sunday evening.

A 33-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were arrested in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the the non-emergency number 101.

 

The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat have been called into action in our area.

Just after 9.15 on Tuesday evening both Redcar lifeboats were launched to rescue two people who were cut off by the tide east of Skinngrove.

Both people were rescued and returned safely to shorted.

The lifeboats were then able to return to the lifeboat station at Redcar.

 

A man has been taken to hospital following an emergency incident in Middlesbrough.

Emergency services descended on the Thorntree area at around 5pm on Wednesday.

Paramedics attended the scene, in the Cobblewood area of the estate, to reports of an 'injured man'.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service also provided support during the incident, landing in a field near Carisbrooke Avenue.

The patient was transported to hospital by road for further treatment.

No further information about the man's condition is known at this time.
