Police are appealing for information after a two men were injured following a collision in Middlesbrough at the weekend.

A number of arrests have been made following a day of action in Hemlington on Friday.

Police are appealing for information after a two men were injured following a collision in Middlesbrough at the weekend.

The incident occurred on Roman Road in Linthorpe, at around 5.15pm on Saturday, when two men who were riding on a Kawasaki motorbike were injured when they collided with a stationary vehicle.

The passenger received minor injuries, however the 38-year-old driver was seriously injured and remains in hospital. 

The road was closed whilst investigations were carried out, and officers are appealing for anyone with information on the collision to contact them.

Witnesses or those with footage or other information are asked to call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

A number of arrests have been made following a day of action in Hemlington on Friday.

A drugs warrant was carried out at a property on Ellis Gardens, whereby a quantity of suspected cannabis was recovered and a 19-year-old man was arrested.

He remains in police custody at this time. 

Further warrants were carried out in search of wanted suspects who had failed to appear in court and a 40-year-old man was arrested. 

Officers carried out the action in the area alongside partner agencies as part of Operation Fortress, which aims to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour specifically in the Hemlington area.

 

The Riverside vaccination centre is moving to the Redcar Civic Centre from today.

Boosters and spring boosters will be available as well as walk-in vaccinations for all age groups from Monday to Friday.

The clinic will be based in room 1 on the ground floor of the Civic Centre in Ridley Street in Redcar from today through to the 10th June.
