A man was taken to hospital at the weekend after he was 'pulled from the sea' by members of the public at Redcar Beach;
Emergency services were called to deal with a crash involving a horsebox on a busy route connecting our area with Whitby yesterday;
...and the volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were called into action in our area yesterday afternoon to assist and injured runner who had sustained a potentially serious leg injury.
A man was taken to hospital at the weekend after he was 'pulled from the sea' by members of the public at Redcar Beach.
Emergency services were called to the seafront following reports a man had been rescued from the North Sea at around 7.45pm on Saturday.
Paramedics and the RNLI attended the scene and the patient was transported to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.
Further details about the man's condition are not currently known.

North Yorkshire Police were called to the A171 Guisborough Road, west of Whitby between Skelder Road and Aislaby Lane, following the crash yesterday afternoon.
It is believed a horsebox had left the highway and crashed through a stone wall and into a field.
A car also suffered serious damage to the front in the crash.
It is not clear how many vehicles are involved in the incident or how many people are injured.
There are reports that a vet was called to the scene.

Two Team Land Rovers containing a total of six people were dispatched from the Team’s Base, one going to a rendezvous point at Clay Bank car-park, the other towards the scene via a farm route to the south of Wain Stones.
On the arrival team members commenced treatment of the casualty, and provided her with pain relief
Once the casualty had been stabilised within a vacuum mattress she was carried to a Team Land Rover ambulance, loaded in it and transported to Clay Bank car-park where she was transferred to an ambulance to be taken to James Cook University Hospital.
