Detectives are appealing for information as they investigate a report of an assault in Redcar.
The incident took place at around midnight on Saturday 27th November 2021, at the Blue Lounge Public House in Redcar.
A 35-year-old man reported being punched in the face by an unknown person.
The man suffered facial injuries and attended hospital where he received treatment for a fracture to the eye.
Enquiries have been carried out and detectives are now asking for the public's help.
Due to the nature of the injuries, a description of the person who is thought to have carried out the assault is not available.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information is asked to contact Redcar CID on the non-emergency number 101.
It's been announced that a long derelict pub in Loftus is set to be demolished and replaced with flats for vulnerable adults requiring assisted living arrangements.
Redcar and Cleveland Council has agreed plans for two blocks containing 16 self-contained apartments in total on the site of the Royal Hotel pub to the east of Loftus off the busy A174 Teesside to Whitby road.
The council previously granted permission for a residential development containing seven flats on the pub site in December 2016, although these plans are said to have stalled.
Another covid vaccination clinic is taking place in Carlin How on Monday.
First and second jabs and boosters are available at St. Helen's Parish Church in Carlin How between 9am and 6pm, with no appointment necessary.
