A drug dealer from our area has been jailed for 22 months after cocaine was found during a police search at his home.

Teesside Crown Court heard that police searched 20-year-old Aiden Kenny's home in Skelton on May 9th, 2020.

They found 7.6 grams of cocaine in two grip-seal bags - with an estimated street value of between £400-£780.

Mr Kenny, of Kirkstall Court in Skelton was jailed for 22 months at the hearing last Thursday, after pleading guilty to the possession with intent to supply of a class A drug and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has thanked residents for their patience and understanding after staff absences affected bin collections.

Due to an increasing number of COVID isolations, the council says they are experiencing issues with waste collections in some of the Borough’s outlying areas and farms.

The council says they are working on collecting these missed bins at the weekend but due to the number of isolations increasing each day, this position will be under constant review and an update will be issued later today.

Another vaccination pop-up clinic is taking place in Redcar today.

Today's clinic is being held at Redcar and Cleveland College on Corporation Rd from 10am – 5pm.

First and second doses are available for 16 and 17-year-olds as long as there are 12 weeks between the two, and for all over 18s as long as there are eight weeks between the two.

Vaccinations are also available for 12–15-year-olds, who must have consent. Boosters will be administered to those 18+ if three months have passed since the second vaccine.

In addition to Covid vaccines, flu jabs will be available for those 65 and over or under 65s who are eligible. On-site parking is available.

All mobile vaccination units can be attended without an appointment and residents are being urged to have themselves jabbed and/or given their booster as soon as possible.

A full list of all upcoming sessions is available on the Zetland FM Facebook page.
