Officers are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a man was found injured in Middlesbrough.

Police were alerted by ambulance service colleagues that they had found the man between 11.15pm and 11.25pm last Wednesday, December 29th.

The injured man, who is in his 40s, was lying on the road in the westbound lane of Longlands Road, at the junction with Ormesby Road. He was assisted at the scene and taken to hospital.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the circumstances, or has footage of this area, around these times to call them on the non-emergency number 101.

Police particularly want to hear from anyone who may have seen a male in his 40s in this area, wearing a black jacket, black ‘Adidas’ brand tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat were called into action in our area yesterday.

Just after quarter to four yesterday afternoon the Redcar Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched in response to an activated Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon in Tees Bay.

However the beacon was later found to be faulty, and the lifeboat returned to the boathouse.

Mountain rescue volunteers were called out to assist a group of walkers who became lost in our area.

Last Thursday evening the volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were requested by Cleveland Police to assist a group of walkers who had become disorientated in the darkness whilst walking on Eston Hills.

Through a combination of the What3Words app and the mountain rescue Phone Find facility the probable location of the walkers was identified.

However, whilst team members were en route the Police advised that the walkers had managed to find their own way back to their car and the Team members were able to stand-down and return to Base.
