The body of a man has been found in the sea at Saltburn.

Cleveland Police confirmed that sadly, the man was discovered in the water off Saltburn beach on Sunday afternoon.

Officers have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the find and are linking up with neighbouring forces and the coroner to establish his identity.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police via the non-emergency number 101.

 

A man is in hospital after colliding with a car in Eston.

The 64-year-old man was involved in a crash with the vehicle just after 11am yesterday.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene close to the junction of Church Lane and Tawney Road.

Cleveland Police confirmed the pedestrian suffered a head injury and was taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital where he remains while receiving treatment.

 

A Middlesbrough man has been ordered to stay away from a town centre road at night after he appeared in court to face claims he was carrying a blade.

Cleveland Police said officers were called to an Albert Road venue shortly before midnight on Saturday, November 27 after staff allegedly found the blade on him.

Mohammed Abdalla appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on yesterday to face a single charge of possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.

The 41-year-old entered no plea, and the case was adjourned until January 6th.

Mr Abdalla, of Gresham Road in the town, has been told not to enter Albert Road between 10pm and 9am, as part of bail conditions ahead of his next court appearance.
