A man has been left with serious facial injuries after he was assaulted by two unknown men who were on an off-road motorbike.

The 60-year-old man was walking across the grassed area from Ambrose Road to Bankfields Road in Eston at around 9pm on Friday 3rd December when the men, believed to be in their 20s and both wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, rode towards him and assaulted him.

He was repeatedly punched until he fell to the ground whereupon the suspects kicked him. He suffered a broken palate, broken left cheekbone and eye socket as well as significant facial bruising.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
