A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after Redcar Town Police Station was daubed with graffiti.

As we reported on Zetland FM yesterday, the graffiti is believed to have been written sometime during the course of Saturday evening.

It came the day after one of the busiest nights of the year for officers, as they dealt with incidents of disorder across Teesside on so-called 'Mischief Night'.

The 24-year-old man remains in police custody at this time.

Police are appealing after a man was robbed and knocked unconscious in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened around 10pm last Tuesday on Linthorpe Road, close to Ayresome Gardens.

The 37-year-old victim was walking towards Middlesbrough town centre when he was hit over the head from behind.

He was knocked unconscious and his wallet was stolen containing cash.

The victim then took a taxi to hospital and was admitted for two days whilst receiving treatment.

Any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has announced proposals for redeveloping Coatham Seafront and is asking the public what they think of them.

The plans for Coatham Seafront include a new adventure play park, an 18 hole adventure golf course, new landscaping and improved parking.
