Cleveland Police have put a dispersal order in place in Hemlington, amid reports of antisocial behaviour.

Youths who congregate in large groups can be moved on by police officers.

If they don't comply, or if they return to the area, they face arrest.

The order was announced by the force yesterday morning, and it will run until 4.45pm today.

It covers a large part of the Hemlington estate, including the Hemlington Recreation Centre and multiple schools.

Another step in the planned expansion of a South Bank industrial estate have been approved.

A former allotment site is being developed in order to extend the Skippers Lane industrial estate which borders Redcar and Middlesbrough.

The aim is to create 38 industrial units intended for use by start-up businesses, predominantly small to medium sized enterprises.

Members of Redcar and Cleveland Council’s regulatory committee have now agreed an outline planning application to clear the site and provide a new roundabout and access ‘spine’ road into the estate.

A local pub is offering a free pint to anyone who returns two branded pint glasses after discovering they were suffering from a shortage.

The Crown and Anchor pub in Redcar High Street put out a Facebook plea offering their customers a free pint, for every two branded pint glasses they return.

Bosses at the pub hope that the Facebook plea will see them restocked with glasses soon.

The post has already gone viral and racked up 20,000 hits in the first day.
