A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle in Redcar.

Police are appealing for information after a report of a stolen motorcycle.

...and members of the public are being advised to be vigilant following an increase in burglaries in the South Bank area.

 

A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle in Redcar.

Officers arrested the 47-year-old male in connection with a reported incident on Henry Street in the town at around 5.30am yesterday morning.

A walking stick has been reported as stolen.

Officers are appealing for anyone who has any information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Police are appealing for information after a report of a stolen motorcycle.

The yellow Honda motorcycle was reported as stolen from the car park of Discount DIY on Cannon Street, Middlesbrough at around 3pm on Wednesday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been charged with alleged theft of a motor vehicle and alleged driving offences.

A 33-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle has been released under investigation. 

Enquiries are ongoing.

Officers are appealing for anyone who has any information that could lead to the recovery of the motorcycle to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Members of the public are being advised to be vigilant following an increase in burglaries in the South Bank area.

20 reports of burglaries were received by Cleveland Police in July. 

Officers are carrying out high visibility patrols and are frequently checking empty properties.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any crime or suspicious activity to police.
