A man is in police custody after a report of a burglary in the early hours of yesterday morning at a pharmacy in Middlesbrough.

A man is in police custody after a report of a burglary in the early hours of yesterday morning at a pharmacy in Middlesbrough.

Police received a report around 4:30am yesterday of a burglary in progress at Pharmacy Express in Linthorpe.

A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a class B drug.

He was taken into police custody and enquiries are ongoing.

 

Police are appealing to witnesses after a fail-to-stop collision in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened around 3:35pm on Saturday, when a collision took place on the footway along the southside River Tees towards Newport.

An orange motorbike was involved in the collision and a 55-year-old male pedestrian, who suffered leg and stomach injuries and was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with further information is asked to contact the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, on the non-emergency number 101.

 

The MFC Foundation bus will be in Loftus tomorrow for local people to get their first or second Covid jab.

The bus will be at Loftus Fire Station tomorrow between 8.45am and 3.45pm for members of the public to get a free vaccine, with no appointment needed.

Anyone over 17 years and 9 months and under 40 can get their first vaccine or the second Pfizer dose if it's at least 8 weeks since recieiving the first one.

Everyone is urged to grab a jab and help tackle Covid-19.
