Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision involving a 10-year-old girl.

The incident happened around 1pm on Monday 9th August on the A1085 Trunk Road, opposite the Buccaneer Public House.

A black car came from the direction of Ormesby Road and turned left onto the Trunk Road in the direction of Middlesbrough.

The driver did not stop at the scene.

The girl fell to the floor before getting up and walking home in the company of a family member.

She suffered bruising as a result of the incident.

Any witnesses or anyone with further information is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

Three men have appeared in court charged with multiple alleged offences after police received reports of a number of burglaries and a ram raid in our area in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers received a report of a ram raid on Birchington Avenue at around ten to one in the morning, followed by reports of burglaries in St Patricks Road in Grangetown, Cannock Road in Middlesbrough and Caernarvon Close in Teesville.

Cars were stolen during the course of these burglaries.

Officers from the Incident Response Team and Cleveland Police Dog Support Unit assisted in locating, detaining and arresting the three men.

The men, aged 18, 19 and 20, appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday.

After spending the day in Redcar yesterday, the MFC Foundation bus will be back in Eston tomorrow to offer Covid-19 vaccinations for free, with no appointment needed.

Members of the public can just turn up and the bus team will be more than happy to help.

Anyone aged 16-39 can receive their first vaccination, or second Pfizer vaccination providing it has been at least 8 weeks since their first.

The bus will be on at the Tesco car park in Eston from 9am until 6:45pm and as many people as possible are urged to grab a jab in order to help tackle Covid-19.
