A group of travellers have been given notice to leave after setting up camp at a well used car park in our area.
Around eight white caravans have been parked up at Majuba Car Park in Redcar since yesterday.
Redcar and Cleveland Council says that the occupants have been ordered to leave by their officers.
The council has confirmed that legal notices were served at an unauthorised encampment in Redcar yesterday.
They say that their officers will continue to work with everyone concerned to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Emergency services have attended an incident in Middlesbrough that led to train delays.
Police and the ambulance service were called to the scene known locally as the 'white bridge' in Berwick Hills just after 8.30 yesterday evening.
Cleveland Police were seen blocking the entrance to the footbridge.
Paramedics also attended the scene, near Belle Vue Grove, and dispatched four crews.
Train services between Middlesbrough and James Cook University Hospital were affected.
An air rifle, cannabis and suspected cocaine has been seized from two properties in Redcar.
Officers from the Redcar and Cleveland Neighbourhood team executed two drugs warrants on Moorcock Close in Redcar last week.
A large amount of cannabis, suspected cocaine and an air rifle were seized from the addresses.
Five people aged between 17 and 25 were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
They have been released pending further enquiries.
