The volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were called into action in our area yesterday after a teenager collapsed in woods near to Guisborough.

The team were contacted yesterday afternoon by the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to assist them with a report of a 17-year-old male who had collapsed in Reed’s Wood near Guisborough.

His exact location was not known.

One Team member who had been walking in the area was quickly able to locate the casualty and relay the location to her colleagues.

She also carried out a casualty care assessment whilst waiting for assistance.

Other Team members soon arrived on scene and the casualty was then transported in a Team Land Rover to a waiting ambulance crew.

Police say they are dealing with a number of reports of theft and attempted theft in the early hours of yesterday morning in the Stainton area.

Two men have been arrested as part of ongoing police enquiries.

Reports from members of the public which are being dealt with include theft from a car, shed and garage break ins and reports of attempted home burglaries.

Areas affected in Stainton include Clover Field Road and the area near Meldyke Lane.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity overnight in this area or who has dashcam or private CCTV is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number.

Police have removed another nuisance motorbike from the roads in our area.

On Friday night officers from Greater Eston Neighbourhood Policing Team seized a motorbike from the Bevanlee Road area of South Bank after it was seen being ridden in an anti social and illegal manner, putting other road users and members of the public at risk.

The public are reminded that if you have any information regarding nuisance vehicles in our area contact police on 101.
